Thesis Statement: We are living in a global environment which every thing is partly difference and partly similar between each other.
Topic sentence: The economy in North America and Europe is similar on its global view and different on its background
Supporting details:
1. Both economy are deeply and thoroughly interact within the global economy.
2. the import and export policy and Europe economy is a composition of many small countries which differ from the form of North America
Topic sentence: The culture in North America and Europe is similar on the origin and different on its modern time development.
Supporting details:
1. As we all know America is an immigration country which was originally found by European emigration.
2. After the independence of the North America in the modern history these two area had become more and more different on its accent, habit and belief.
Topic sentence: The environment in North America and Europe is similar on the pollution of the industrial development and different on their action towards protecting environment.
Supporting details:
1. Both areas experienced the war time and share the same environmental issues which commonly appear in the developing countries.
2. However, the actions for changing and protecting current environment are different form which Europe is more active and North America is the opposite.
Conclusion: As we step into the twenty-first century, we all live in a world which globalization is inevitable.
George, I want you to work on this topic, and there are some suggestions you need to consider.
ReplyDelete1.Your thesis statement sounds too general. You're focusing on two regions -- the USA and Europe -- not whole countries. Read your statement again, and narrow it down.
2. When you compare/contrast two things, they should be parallel. If you compare/contrast apples and oranges, it's OK. However, if you compare/contrast apples and trains, that sounds weird. Look at your topics. You compare/contrast economy, culture, and environment, but I think the last one is kind of unfocused.
Why don't you narrow down your topics more specifically? How about this?
USA vs. UK
1.Political system
2.Culture
3.History
etc.
If you focus on only UK instead of the whole Europe, it would sound reasonable, I think. Also, the subtopics you're going to choose should be parallel.
