My lunch in Boston

I have gone to Scozzi Pizza for lunch over 200 times. I still remember the first day I went to scozzi. It is a day in September, 2007. I it was the first day I came to Newman school. It is a sunny day. Everything was new to me and attracted me. I lived in a home-stay and I had two housemates who have already studied in Newman for half a year. So, they knew a lot about the school like where I can have my lunch.
As a new student to the school, I had my entrance test and a tour to the entire school. Time past really fast when you are keeping understand or remember everything around you. Just like this, the sun rose to the top of my head and it was to eat my first lunch in Newman School! At first, I though that the school might have a place to order some food as what I had seen on the TV in China. However, later I found out that the school not only does not sell any food but also dose not have a place with tables for eating.
Fortunately, I had two housemates with. They told that they will help my find a place to eat my lunch. Therefore, I just simply followed them. I even did not know where I was when I was walking. After walking for about 5 minutes, we arrive at a busy street where later I knew that is the famous New Bury Street. Then we stepped down a stair and went into a restaurant. I still simply ordered what they ordered which were two slices of “special pizza” and one bottle of ice tea. Even I tried hard to remember what kind of pizza which I ordered, but nothing comes to my mind, but I am sure that the pizza tasted really delicious at that time. The way American people eat pizza also attracted me. I used fox and knife to eat pizza when was in a Chinese restaurant. People here just used their hands. People also like to eat food outside the restaurant near the street which Chinese people rarely do like this. After us finishing the pizza, we need to throw the paper plates into the trash can by ourselves. This job is always done by the waiter in China. Everything is new to me and quiet different from that in China.
Since the first time I went to Scozzi, about two years have past. Approximately, I have been there over 200 times. The pizza in Scozzi no longer attracts me. It becomes a simple food which has no difference form the food I ate in China for lunch.

  1. Your topic sounds interesting, and you compared different habit about eating pizza between Chinese and Aamerican people. However, your journal just like a diary. Well, that's what Joy always told me about my journal. Maybe next time, you can change your diary into a small story, and it will also attract your reader. Based on my knowledge, your journal states clearly and coherently. Good job!
